Application:
Pharmaceutical industry, for the production of painkillers and anti-cough and antidiarrhea drugs
Product Introduction:
Codeine phosphate or methyl morphine is a narcotic drug used to alleviate pains and treat coughs and diarrhea, which is often taken along with acetaminophen (as acetaminophen codeine) or with anti-cough drugs (as codeine expectorant syrups). It is among the most important forms of sedatives and is usually combined with other drugs like acetaminophen.
The primary ingredient of this product is alkaloid codeine or morphine extracted from the opium sap of the opium poppy plant.
Codeine has a direct suppressing impact on the cough reflex center and acts by influencing opioid receptors. Codeine is conveniently absorbed in the digestive system and is one of the most effective oral narcotic drugs. Codeine phosphate tablets are typically 30 milligrams. The effects of codeine appear usually 10 to 30 minutes after consumption, reach a peak 1-2 hours later, and disappear within 4-6 hours.
