Product Introduction:
Electrospinning is one of the most suitable and popular industrial methods in the production of polymer nanofibers from suspension solutions (polymer precursor). In some ways, this method is very similar to its more conventional type, namely Dry Spinning, in which, like the extrusion process, the polymer precursor is injected into a die (spinner), so that after the solvent evaporates, they turn into polymer filaments and fibers. However, there is an important difference in the electrospinning method. Since the goal is to produce fine polymer fibers (micrometer to nanometer in diameter), the spinnig unit must consist of a capillary tube to produce a narrow stream of polymer precursor solution (less than 1 mm diameter). Another difference is the application of a high potential difference (several tens of kV) to the spinning unit, which causes the polarized solution to be absorbed by the electric field.
